The following are short case studies from a few of the horses I have worked on. Each horse is unique and so if your horse has a similar problem, he may or may not respond to the same type of shoeing. There are many ways of approaching the same problem. The most important factor is the trim – if the trim is not given much time or thought, no shoe in the world will “fix” the problem. Most problem feet need ongoing scheduled maintenance, otherwise they go right back where they started.
